Overview

MediaSlicr ("the app") is a Mac application developed by Nathan Wood. The app processes media files locally on your device. We take a minimal approach to data collection — the app does not track you, does not send your files anywhere, and does not build a profile about you.

Data we do not collect

MediaSlicr does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • The media files you process
  • File names, paths, or metadata from your projects
  • Document contents used for metadata extraction
  • Usage analytics or behavioral telemetry
  • Crash reports (unless you choose to submit them via macOS)
  • Personal information of any kind

All processing happens entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave your device through MediaSlicr.

Local storage

MediaSlicr stores your job settings and preferences locally on your Mac, in the standard application support directory. This data stays on your device and is not synced to any external server by the app.

If you use iCloud Drive and have your Documents folder synced, job files you save there may be backed up through iCloud according to Apple's own privacy practices.

Mac App Store

MediaSlicr is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Apple may collect data related to your purchase, download, and app usage as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. This data collection is governed by Apple, not by Nathan Wood or MediaSlicr.

Third-party services

MediaSlicr does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app does not make network requests for tracking purposes.

Children's privacy

MediaSlicr is a professional media processing tool not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, an updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
